As I said in my video, I have been unlucky with love. However, if I look at it another way, I could say I've been very lucky because the wrong relationships didn't work out and I dodged a few bullets. Think about all the people you know who didn't dodge the bullet but instead, married the bullet.
If I look back on all my past relationships, there is definitely a pattern. I believe this pattern is insight to how I need to grow as a person. I think we all have clues about what parts or ourselves need healing and growth. However, some people choose not to dive that deep. The deep end of the pool was always my favorite place to swim. As you grow taller, the shallow end of the pool gets shallower but there is still so much room to swim and feel free in the deep end.
I'm not sure what the definition of "Love" is. However, I do believe the individual's capacity to love is directly correlated to the extent of which they love themselves. If you do not love yourself, I don't think you have the ability to really love others. That is why, I think that everyone should have a giant love affair with themselves before they bring innocent bystanders into the equation.
This is exactly, what I'm doing! I am trying to be compassionate and kind to myself because I wish to be that way with others. I am also trying not to take things so seriously. I am doing simple things that make me happy like taking walks, eating chocolate (in small portions), drinking vino while in the tub and laughing hard and loud every chance I get.
I dare you to dive into the deep end. Figure out what parts of yourself need healing and growth. Then have a wild love affair with yourself.
